The book is a great resource for the 5th, 6th and/or 7th grade teachers.

Have the class design a If My Talit Could Talk bulletin board.  Hang a talit on the board.  Gather students in pairs or triads.  Have them research and find fun facts about one particular part of the talit from the book or other sources.  Attach the facts on the board near that part of the talit.  Also attach a copy of the book to the bulletin board.  For virtual classrooms, a virtual bulletin board can be created.
